La criée

What comes in during the morning is what is served at lunch. There is no other way to do it: we are at the fishing port, and the distance between the boat and the table is measured in steps.

Delta oysters and mussels, clams, mantis shrimp when there is any, king prawn, octopus, bluefin tuna. The menu is what it is; what changes every day is what there is.

The house

La maison

El Pescador has been here for close to twenty-five years, facing the port. Exposed stone walls, wooden tables, blue and white crockery, and a terrace looking out on the boats.

The house is now starting a new chapter, with a new family at the helm and the same idea as always: produce from the Delta, rice done properly and a welcome like home.

Only at El Nou Pescador

La Llauna

Lleida's llauna, made with whatever comes into the port.

In Lleida, the llauna is a way of cooking: garlic, oil and paprika on the griddle until everything sings. The family now running the house brought it down to the sea and added what comes off the quay — clams, mussels, murex and whatever the fish market had that morning. Land and sea on the same tray, pulled together by allioli.

Do not look for it anywhere else: we are the only ones in the Delta who make it.

We use blue lobster, the native one from these waters. It comes to the table in its own cast-iron pot.

Do I need to book a table?

It is advisable. You can book on this website or by calling 977 46 06 04.

Which day are you closed?

On Tuesdays, our weekly closing day. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday we open for lunch only, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm; Friday, Saturday and Sunday we serve all day, 11:00 am to 11:00 pm.

Do you have a terrace?

Yes, a terrace facing the fishing port and an indoor dining room with exposed stone walls.

Are there gluten-free rice dishes?

The menu marks several rice dishes as gluten free: the seafood paella, the black rice, the soupy spiny lobster rice and the «Elena» special. If you have an allergy, always confirm it with the restaurant before ordering.

How do the rice dishes work?

They are made for a minimum of 2 people, the price is per person and one pan can hold up to 3 different rices.

Can we come as a large group?

Yes. The terrace tables can be joined together: up to 16 people you can book right here. For larger groups, call us and we will arrange it.

How much does a meal cost?

Between 20 and 60 € per person, depending on what you order.
